Twitter Taking Steps to Slow Down Spammers on Its Platform

In an attempt to make it more difficult for spammers to operate on its platform, Twitter has announced that it's reducing the maximum number of people that an account can follow in a single day.

That number was originally 1000, but the company has now lowered it to 400 to make it more difficult for spam accounts that add thousands of followers everyday and unfollow those that don't follow them back, to operate.

Twitter knows this change won't stop spammers as such, but the company is hoping that it will slow them down.
