Android Screen Mirroring Comes to Windows 10 Insider Preview

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 18356 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring, bringing a number of changes, including a cool new feature that was first announced last October. Called 'Phone Screen', the feature allows users to mirror their Android display directly on their PC.

Microsoft said that the new feature allows users easy access to their phone apps on their PC. "You can thus access all your phone apps without having to even unlock your phone", it said.

To uses Android screen mirroring, users will need Your Phone version 1.0.20701.0 or above and the latest 19H1 build. On the phone side, however, availability is restricted to only four devices for now, all from Samsung: Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Do note that the feature is only compatible with Android 7 Nougat or newer.
