With the first Android P Developer Preview coming in early March last year, we had our eyes set on the Android Q beta since last week. Well, it's here now.
The Android Q Beta 1 might not look too different from Android 9 Pie on the surface, but there are noticeable changes including
, especially under the hood. The beta is available for the first-gen Pixel, Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 phones.
If you have any of these phones, just head to This link, and join the beta program in the devices section. Every compatible device you own and have signed in to with your Google account will be displayed here. After that, it's just a matter of going into the Settings and checking for the update. We got it in the first attempt so it's very likely you will too.
Do note that the beta is likely to be full of bugs - along with new features - so unless you have a backup phone, don't dive into it with your primary phone.
