Panasonic has finally set foot into the full-frame mirrorless camera segment with the debut of the Lumix S1 and S1R in India, priced at a hefty Rs 1,99,990 for the S1 body and Rs 2,89,990 for the S1R body alone.
The Lumix S1 features a 24.2MP CMOS sensor, whereas Lumix S1R is packing a higher 47.3MP resolution sensor. Both cameras are made from magnesium alloy and are dust & water resistant.
Both of the full-frame cameras sport a Leica-owned L-mount under the L-mount Alliance, a triaxial tilt screen (instead of a 180-degree rotating screen), AI deep learning and a ton of ports and connectivity options.
