The most interesting announcement at the Next@Acerevent last night had to be the introduction of a new brand dedicated to designers and creative professionals. Called ConceptD, the new brand will offer high-end laptops, desktops, peripherals, displays and more.
The lineup comprises of the ConceptD 900high-performance desktop with dual Intel Xeon Gold 6148 processors and NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics, as well as the ConceptD 500PC with an octa-core 9th-gen Intel Core i9-9900K CPU and up to Quadro RTX 4000 GPUs.
The lineup also offers the ConceptD 9convertible with up to 9th-gen Core i9 processors, the ConceptD 7notebook with up to 9th-gen Core i7 CPUs and the ConceptD 5laptop with up to 8th-gen Core i7 chips.
The lineup also includes a couple of Pantone-validated 4K UHD displays, as well as a ConceptD OJO headset that the company said can be used to create rich, highly detailed VR environments.
Pricing starts at an eye-popping $20,000 for the ConceptD 900, though the portable PCs are relatively more affordable, starting at $1700.
