The Moto G7 and Moto One Line-up of Smartphones Is Getting Google's Call Screening Feature

After launching its call screening feature on the Pixel 3 last fall, and later expanding it to the Pixel 2 and the original Google Pixel, it looks like the feature is finally expanding beyond Google's in-house smartphones.

Motorola has announced that its Moto G7 and Moto One lines of smartphones will be the first non-Pixel phones to get the call-screening feature.

The company has said that its phones have already started receiving the feature, but there's no exact timeline so far on when users of the G7 and Moto One lineup of smartphones can expect to receive them.

Intel's 2nd-gen Scalable Xeon Processors Are Here


Aiming to empower businesses with deep learning capabilities, Intel on Tuesday launched the second generation of Xeon scalable processors, including the flagship Xeon Platinum 9200 processor with 56 cores, at its "Data-Centric Innovation Day" here.

"This is a big day for us. It is the first truly data-centric launch in our history," Navin Shenoy, Executive Vice President, Intel and General Manager, Data Center Group told reporters here adding "this thing is a beast."
The new Intel Xeon Scalable processors with built-in Deep Learning Boost (DLB) technology add AI capabilities for the next era of data-driven Internet of Things (IoT) edge platforms. It also accelerates

Valve Index VR Headset to be Unveiled May 1

Valve has announced that it plans to officially unveil its Valve Index VR headset on May 1. A product page for the device is also believed to have gone live on Steam yesterday, but has since apparently been taken down. The page reportedly listed a June 15 shipping date for the upcoming device.

The short-lived listing also revealed that the minimum hardware required for Windows computers to use the headset will include a dual-core processor with hyper-threading, 8GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX480 GPU, although, recommended specs include a quad-core CPU alongside a GTX 1070 GPU.

In a correspondence with The Verge, Valve spokesman Doug Lombardi described the specs listed on the page as "accurate", saying: "The tech info on that page, while not comprehensive, is accurate".

Microsoft Upgrades 'Surface Book 2' With 8th-gen Intel Core Processor

Microsoft has quietly introduced a new version of its 13-inch "Surface Book 2"base model with Intel's 8th-Generation quad-core i5 processor, priced at $1,499. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

"Microsoft has quietly launched this new model today, following rumors the company was planning to refresh the Surface Book 2", The Verge reported on Sunday.

However, the Windows-maker would still continue to offer the existing dual-core 7th Gen base model of the Surface Book 2 laptop at a discounted price of $1,299.

The software giant discreetly released this new laptop version ahead of its "Surface Event" that is scheduled to take place in New York City on April 17.

Nvidia's R.O.N. is an AI-powered Holographic Digital Assistant For PC Gaming

At PAX East in Boston, Nvidia demoed a new AI-powered holographic assistant that the company claims delivers the unique thrill of personalized PC gaming.
Called Project R.O.N, the software can 'coach you through your gameplay, and stay up-to-date on everything happening in the world of gaming' by leveraging the powerful new GeForce RTX 20 Series GPUs, said the company in a press release.

"R.O.N. can even create and project 3D AR displays of maps, levels, and data to help you consistently dominate in battle", said the company.

The release schedule for the new technology is yet to be finalized, but it's expected to be available this summer in North America and EMEA, with other territories to follow in the coming months, based on regulatory approvals.
