Apple also launched an updated iPad Mini, which also has the same Apple A12 Bionic chipset, along with support for Apple Pencil.
The iPad Mini will be available in India starting next week and is priced at Rs 34,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 45,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The iPad Mini comes with a 7.9-inch Retina display with True Tone support in the 25 percent brighter panel, which has the highest pixel density of any iPad. It also has the same 8-megapixel f/2.4 primary camera, and a 7MP f/2.2 front camera for FaceTime calls as the bigger iPad Air.
Unlike the iPad Pro, both these new iPads have Touch ID, and no Face ID. The Mini has a 19.1 wHr rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, rated for up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video or listening to music and up to 9 hours of web surfing using cellular data.
